This model has been discontinued for a long time. I have been following Emerson knives for about four years, and never heard of this model until last week. I was speaking to Mary (Ernest Emerson's wife) about any discontinued models they had laying around, and she found these in their stock room. This is a rare find.

The MAX I is a bit larger than a Mini-Commander. It is the same blade that was later used on the Barrett 50 Caliber knife (the Barrett used this blade in a different handle).
